For my pasta box designs, I drew inspiration from vintage 1950s food packaging by implementing a muted color palette, bold contrast in line weights, and flat graphics.
Final Typography and Color
The colors and typefaces were inspired by that vintage Barilla and other 1950s food packaging.
Form Studies
I explored various potential cartons, boxes, and other containers for the product before landing on the final box form.
Final Form
The final box form was a 2" x 5" x 6.5" carton. The carton style was chosen to allow the customer to easily pour out the pasta via the spout.
